The cost of the consultation
is $300 remotely
and $350 in person at the Kansas City office.
Have you heard stories of people who never manage to speak directly with a lawyer? Or who are only seen by assistants during an appointment?
At our firm, this does not happen. We firmly believe in offering you professional attention through attorneys licensed in the United States, with extensive experience in immigration law. There are only two of us here, and we will be the ones who attend your appointments and take responsibility for your case. We pride ourselves on being a boutique immigration firm, and we want to continue to be so, providing you with personalized, high-quality service.

With us, you consult with attorneys, not assistants!
What can you expect from the consultation?
The importance of the consultation should not be underestimated. This stage is the most important part of a case, as it is when most decisions about the strategy for a case are made.
Parts of the process
- Determine the necessary action or remedy in your case.
- Determine the chances of success, especially in cases where the remedy is discretionary.
- Explain the options to the potential client and the procedures used in each option.
- Recommend or not recommend an action or option.
- Decide whether the firm is willing to take your case.
- Provide the potential client with an estimate based on the case and the facts given to the lawyer during the consultation.
What will not happen during the consultation?
What will not happen during the consultation? During the consultation, the attorney will definitely not explain how to proceed with the case without legal assistance or how to improve your paperwork so that you can submit documentation on your own.
Documents to be evaluated
- Previously filed petitions that are pending approval or for which a visa is available.
- Decisions where the case has been previously denied.
- Documents when the person is in the process of deportation.
- Arrest records, including final dispositions and sentencing information, police reports, etc.
We answer all your questions
Where and when will the consultation take place?
Appointments will be conducted in person, by phone, or by video call via Webex. In-person appointments will take place at the Kansas City office, and remote appointments will be conducted by phone or Webex. You will be sent a video to help you prepare for your video appointment. If your appointment is by phone, you must call our office 5 minutes before your appointment. If your appointment is via Webex, you must call 5 minutes before and give us your name and email address. The lawyer will start the video call and send you the link to your email. Appointments must be prepaid using a credit or debit card at the time of scheduling. You can make your appointment directly on this page or you can call our office and we will help you schedule it.
Who will be present for the consultation?
The applicant or prospective immigrant must be present at the consultation, either in person or by telephone. If the applicant or prospective immigrant is not in the United States, the consultation cannot be conducted in person. It is preferable that the petitioner also be present when it is a family petition. For in-person consultations, space is limited, so only the applicant or prospective immigrant and the petitioner may enter the consultation.
No other persons, such as companions or children, will be allowed to enter. If the person attending the consultation has children, they must come with someone who can look after them, otherwise the consultation will have to be canceled.
Questions about cases or persons not related to the consultation will not be answered.
Who initiates the phone or video call?
Phone, Webex, and in-person appointments are expected to start on time. For phone appointments, you should call the office 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment, and it’s your responsibility to start the call. If the appointment will be held via Webex video, you’ll get instructions via text message on how to join the video call.
Current or potential clients who call or arrive more than 10 minutes late, regardless of the reason, are considered to have missed their appointment and will be asked to reschedule. If the consultation starts late due to the client’s responsibility, the consultation will end at the scheduled end time, regardless of whether the full 30 minutes of consultation time has been used. We have appointments scheduled every 30 minutes and will respect everyone’s appointments.
What is the refund policy?
There is no guarantee that the firm will take your case. The consultation fee is non-refundable.
Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must call the office at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. If we do not receive notification of the cancellation or change, our office will charge the full consultation fee for the time the attorney has set aside from her schedule to review your case. If you are unable to contact the office and wish to cancel or reschedule, you may send us an email at info@juradograham.com.
What happens if my question cannot be answered immediately?
In most cases, we can give you the answer you need immediately. However, there are areas of law where it is not possible to give a legal opinion during the interview and it is necessary to review the current law in order to give a better answer. If this is the case, the firm will have an answer to your query within one week of the date of the appointment. The prospective client can expect a response no later than that period.
What is the cost of the consultation?
Consultations vary in price:
Remote appointments $250 USD (US dollars)
In-person appointments $300 USD (US dollars)
All consultations are payable at the time of booking.
IMPORTANT: Our office handles all cases with the utmost seriousness and professionalism.
Clients are responsible for providing us with accurate and truthful information prior to their appointments. If we discover at any time that our clients are omitting and/or concealing information, their appointments will be canceled.
