The Jurado-Graham Law Firm, P.A. one of Kansas City’s fastest growing and busiest immigration law firms is seeking a licensed attorney admitted in Missouri (or elegible for admission by Motion) for its high-volume practice. Our firm is located in the River Market Area in the heart of the downtown of Kansas City.
In this position, you will be an important member of our team. We have been expanding our immigration practice to a national level and we need you to help us grow. Our practice focuses on family immigration, U visas for victims of crime, domestic violence victims, removal defense and naturalization.
We are looking for an individual who can think outside-of-the-box. The ideal candidate must have a strong dedicated commitment to providing passionate representation for the immigrant community and civil rights issues. We are an established immigration firm in the Midwest that has been practicing immigration law for 10 years. Position will be filled at our Kansas City, Missouri office. No experience necessary, all are encouraged to apply. However, experience in the immigration legal field is considered a plus and will be reflected on starting salary.
Candidate will have their individual caseload-must be able to manage significant workload of active cases, prioritize, manage simultaneous tasks, and meet deadlines within a changing fast-paced environment. Must also have strong legal research and writing skills. Must demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and work independently. Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills; superior organizational skills; and strong interpersonal skills are required to be able to work well with clients and office staff. Candidate will also conduct initial consultations appear before the immigration court and USCIS office.
In addition to your case responsibilities you will be participating in business development and community presence activities such as CLE’s, public speaking engagements and leadership participation with AILA –American Immigration Lawyers Association.
