Good news for parents of members of the military, the government is extending military parole in place for all those parents who entered the country illegally; who have a child over 21 years of age in the military, national guard or who served in the armed forces and are not otherwise inadmissible as immigrants. This new immigration benefit would allow the parents to adjust their status and become legal permanent residents in the United States without having to depart. This opens the doors to many parents who would otherwise be ineligible to become legal permanent residents because of the 3 and 10 year bars that are usually triggered upon departure of the U.S. If you are in this situation, please call our office and schedule an appointment.
